2007 to 2008!

i just came back from Kyoto. I always love that place but I've only been there about 2 times in my life... it was a comfortable trip. i dont get that often. only the trip to mexico, spain, and okinawa made me feel that way. i am so lucky and glad i got to go there before 2007 ends. next year is going to be a challenge. i will try as hard as i can. and i will believe in myself. that is my goal. to believe. thank you to all of my friends, my sister, good music, good art, and i wish everyone a happy new year.

while i was working on the new year's card...

I printed out my new year's card for the design center people.
The printer my mom has is AMAZING!!
I will get a new scanner and a printer when I go back to USA:)
But I kinda want a Japanese one... just like my mom's... hmm.

While I was working on the card, I decided to doodle and color it.
I don't usually "color" in photoshop but I tried.
I don't know if I like it or not but it's easy and quick.
I might work on this kind of "coloring" more and see what I can do with it.
Experimenting is always fun!

I'm going to Kyoto tomorrow. I will be back on the 30th!:)

Merry Christmas!
I have been hospitalized until... today (Christmas eve)
but now I am home, and I am very very happy to be home!

And more exciting news!
I am one of the finalists for the SCADDY awards because of my United Airlines Illustration:)
I didn't participate before because I didn't know much about it, but now I know!
Thank you santa!!

New Year's Card

Making new year's card design for my mother. Next year is the year of "mouse" in Japan. I did about 3 pages full of mice in many many poses and expressions. Then colored and textured the mother's choice in Photoshop:) I hope the colors and the gestures makes the card a happy, smile-able card!

I just came back from Tokyo. I saw BLUE MAN SHOW, few friends and families, and Tokyo Tower with a heart on it:) Also I visited small galleries, and randomly saw my favorite Illustrator's artwork. Tokyo has a lot of surprises. But without my friends and families, I would have never visited it often.
