the gift is done!

So I have completed the gifts for my mom, my sister and tom! I had fun working with acrylics again but I have always wondered why the orange paint stinks so much... maybe the pigement stinks? anyways, here are the results!
The squid and the whale one is for tom. The cat taking a picture of four leaf clover is for my sister (she is an awesome photographer!) and the rabbit and the apples is for my mom (she has an obsession with apples!). I tried to limit the numbers of colors I used for each one since I usually go crazy with the colors.

for my friend!

I have been making some paintings for friends and family. This one is for my friend Tom. He is a hardworking printmaker and an illustrator. I had a chance to see how he does his printmaking the other day. I was so amazed by his custom made equipments! Also I fell in love with printmaking again:) Anyways, his shop is called "Squid and Cachalot" and I promised him to make an illustration of squid and cachalot. I did the linework the other day and now onto acrylic painting! Oh and here is his blog, and you can buy the prints if you like them;)

something different...!

These are some illustrations for fun. Both are not the subjects i would normally choose to illustrate but i had fun hinting sexual subjects in a innocent looking image. I am still a little shy about it but i am trying to be more comfortable with these subjects;)

thank you prints!

So with my graduation invitation, I decided to send some "thank you prints." It was a relaxing process and I hope to do this for fun more often. I love the look of prints and I love the process even more! So here are some pictures...:)
